The Advantages of Garbage Classification
First
Advantage
Garbage classification may help minimize the amount of land needed and enhance land usage. General urban garbage disposal, primarily to incineration, landfill, and accumulation of three kinds of treatment, in the case of the rapid growth of garbage disposal, whether open garbage dump or unable to meet the needs of the landfill. These will significantly occupy land resources, and treatment of garbage land will not be used as agricultural land will be substantially occupied by land resources; for example, some home waste includes hazardous compounds that are difficult to decompose. The environment is severely harmed as a result. If the categorization successfully removes the recyclable materials, the number of landfills will be reduced by more than 60%. Thus, rubbish categorization may help minimize the amount of landfill space required, prevent communities from being overrun with garbage dumps, and free up land for other uses.
Second
Advantage
Garbage classification may help decrease waste pollution while protecting the natural environment and preserving biodiversity. At the moment, China's waste treatment is mainly done via landfill, which takes up a significant amount of land area and increases the number of mosquitoes, sewage turbulence, foul odor, and other undesirable occurrences. Furthermore, waste plastic in the soil will promote crop production. If consumed by animals, it may cause serious health problems and even death and damage water supplies, which are also intimately tied to human health. Thus, garbage classification may help to lessen the likelihood of such dangers.
Third
Advantage
Garbage classification can transform waste into treasure, allowing for more efficient use of available resources. To minimize pollution, garbage classification is used to select different treatment methods for different types of garbage. For example, waste household appliances and paper are separated from waste to be recycled and repurposed to make waste profitable. Plastic, rubber, glass, and bottles are also separated from trash to make waste good. Those waste batteries, medical abandoned materials, and other hazardous waste that has been classified out do not flow into nature and do not pollute water, soil, or the atmosphere. That garbage suitable for incineration can be recycled for heating energy, and wet waste used as a composting material can increase the amount of compost produced. Thus, waste disposal may be reduced or even turned into treasure due to these following procedures. One of the most evident advantages is the reduction of contamination of water, soil, atmosphere, and other environmental resources during the rubbish disposal process.
Fourth
Advantage
Fourth, garbage classification can help increase social awareness of the environmental protection industry because it is a relevant knowledge training that the entire population can participate in. In addition, garbage classification can provide suitable jobs in the environmental protection field for unemployed people to decrease the unemployment rate. Furthermore, garbage classification can fundamentally avoid the risk of injury to garbage disposal personnel by classifying garbage, such as being scratched by a knife when sorting waste in the garbage disposal center [1].
