The Disadvantages of Garbage Classification.

First

Disadvantage

Garbage classification will incur high financial costs. To correctly classify garbage, four connections are required: classification delivery, classification collection, classification treatment, and finally, classification transportation, and each of these linkages requires a significant financial investment. Examples include the following: different types of garbage necessitate other garbage trucks, and if the car is not filled, it will reduce efficiency and increase loss; recyclable waste necessitates high technology and equipment to be reused; hazardous waste necessitates centralized storage, waterproofing, and damaged protection measures; and garbage classification requires the provision of the additional workforce for garbage management. Thus, the high-tech equipment and staff necessary for rubbish sorting must be considered a high expense. Taking Australia as an example, the country's 1.25 million tons of rubbish disposal requires A $850 million, and these expenses must be distributed to each person, as in the United Kingdom, which levies a waste tax on the people, and China, which requires the people to pay property taxes.

Second

Disadvantage

Considering the time cost while classifying garbage is essential. Assuming that each individual generates 2 kg of rubbish each day, he would spend six more minutes sorting, packing, and cleaning trash cans than he would have before. Formerly could be tossed downstairs, but today, by the regulations of waste categorization, it must be thrown to the appropriate garbage disposal area, back and forth for 6 minutes total. A total of 12 minutes per day are gained. This is not to mention the following waste collection and other procedures, which everyone must endure at great expense in terms of time.

Third

Disadvantage

Garbage classification also has costs for education. Some people say that the Japanese garbage classification does a good job: continuous education and training from kindergarten. However, Japanese garbage classification is very complicated, and if you want to learn to be skilled, it may be a long learning process.
